Undergraduate Projects
I did various projects during my Bachelor program. Some of these projects are shown here as representative .
(1) Wireless Half-Duplex Communication System
The objective of the following project was to design a short range half-duplex communication system for use in industrial places that needs to connect two different stations the whole time. A great advantage of this device compared to other communication systems like internet or telephones is its low communication costs. It is better to say that there is no cost except the construction costs. In the following device, you can write your message using a keyboard and send it to the other station. Some features of the device are summarized as follows:
* Highly integrated and small size
* High sensitivity and low power consumption
* No tuning required during production
* Use special coding to increase noise immunity
* Sound alert when receiving a new message
* Password protected for security purposes
* Nice graphical effects and animations on the screen
* Message delivery report
* Include different menus like: Messaging, Game, Music and etc
(2) Micro Mouse Robot
I designed and constructed a micro mouse robot. The robot was participated in the first Robotic competition held in Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, Iran, 2010.
(3) Ambient Light Control System
The objective of this system is to control the ambient lightning. It is preferred to match the light intensity of a place, for instance a room at your home or office, to a desired brightness depending on the number of people in the room and the current ambient light. We feedback the number of people in the room as well as the current ambient light to the control system. For this purpose, we used infrared sensors and ambient light sensor. Depending on the inputs, the control system adjusts the brightness of output lights.
(4) LED Scrolling Board
We designed a small commercial led scrolling board. We used an external memory to demonstrate various texts and animations with different attractive effects.
